Visa
Foreigners holding resident visa or changing to resident visa should go to local immigration service center to apply for alien resident certificates within 15 days counted from the next day of arrival or the next day of receiving resident visa in Taiwan. (Otherwise, the penalty will be NT$2,000-10,000.)

There are two types of visas the students may apply for to enter the Republic of China (
Foreign nationals who hold valid passports or other legal travel documents and intend to stay in the Republic of China (
Foreign nationals who hold ordinary passports or other legal travel documents and intend to stay in the Republic of China (
#Visa Extension and Visa Status Change
1.Students holding visitor visa and wishing to stay more than 6 months after their arrival should apply for changing to resident visa with the Bureau of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).
2.Students holding visitor visa and wishing to stay less than 6 months are not required to change their visa status. However, if they intend to stay longer than their visa expiration date, they do need to apply for visa extensions through National Immigration Agency before the expiration date.
#Visa Exempt Entry and Landing Visa
The duration of stay for Visa Exempt Entry and Landing Visa are not extendable. They are for 30 days only starting from the next day of arrival.
