About CTUST
Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology (CTUST), formerly named “Chungtai Junior College” was founded in 1966 by Dr. Tien-Chi Chen (M.D., Ph.D.), the superintendent of Shun-Tian General Hospital, then upgraded to Chungtai Institute of Health Science and Technology in 1998 and then “Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology” in 2005. Among all the technological and vocational education schools, CTUST has served more than 55 years as one of the most completed medical technology education universities in Taiwan. CTUST provides not only technological expertise, but also education on humane concern and life caring with respect.
Over the last 55 years, CTUST has been well-developed in school affairs under the instruction of the supervisors from MOE, the endeavor of the presidents, faculty, staff and students. With the multiple entrance programs, the total number of students is about 8,000 at present. The alumni of CTUST are serving their professions domestic and abroad with favorable comments.
Office of Academic Affairs
The Academic Affairs Office of the school is divided into four units: the Registration and Curriculum Division,the Division of Continuing Studies,the Center for Teaching and Learning Development,the Center for General Education. Our goal is to serve a good teaching, research and learning environment for teachers and students in the school. The responsibilities of each unit are as follows:

Responsible for the curriculum and registration affairs of the Day Department, including course affairs, examination affairs, student status and grade management. To undertake tasks such as course arrangement, course selection, examinations, leave, classroom and space allocation, grade inquiry, graduation, suspension, transfer, etc. | Responsible for the curriculum and registration affairs of the Continuing Education Department, including course and exam management, student status, and grade tracking. | Promotes faculty teaching growth and student learning effectiveness, handles new teacher training, TA systems, teaching awards, remedial teaching, and student-centered learning initiatives. | Responsible for general education course affairs, including course affairs, class opening, class scheduling, course selection, examinations, teacher leave, course adjustments, make-up classes, classroom and teaching space allocation. Handle matters such as independent learning and Chinese proficiency tests. |
